MYSONNE x dj honda x DEAD PREZ

Again a little lack of updates. One of the main reasons is that I am currently not in the states anymore, and waiting for the right Visa paperwork for my family and myself. In the meantime I am back in Hamburg and try to balance family life with working life. Having a kid is definitely pretty time-consuming.

Here is some old and some new work I have done … the old work is a photo of Stic.man from Dead Prez, I took this photo when they were in Germany on tour. The other piece is a new cover that I finished today for this new single dj honda will drop real soon. He has not approved this one yet, but knowing honda, this is more than fine.

Besides that I just started my second project for Roc Nation, I hope I can show it soon. I am also working with Night Ranger again, an old rock group and in the stages of finishing their new artwork. Then I did a new artwork for Kobe. Once that is approved I will post it here.

TUMBLR IS NOT COOL, SO WE ARE BACK!

I don’t understand tumblr, and using it doesn’t make it easier to understand. So back to the own database and WordPress. So what happened? Crooked I released his mixtape ‘Psalm 82:v6’ for free download (tagged by L.A. Leakers, untagged version is available on iTunes). I didn’t like the cover at all, and usually I don’t do this for artist, because I do this kind of work to get paid and feed my family, but I already did numerous projects with Crooked I / Treacherous Records, so it’s a different case … anyway, I did my own cover for it. Crooked blasted it out on his Twitter and I got a lot of compliments from people.

Then I shared another photo I took in Ethiopia. I hope to be done with all of them one day … sounds like it’s a ton of photos, just 12 really.

Finished a new single artwork / flyer for rapper ‘SP’. The single is called ‘Young & Reckless’ and features Snoop Dogg, Soopafly and TMG. Soopafly is actually the one that hooked this artwork up for me. The whole thing was produced by TMG Music Group for Fly2k Productions, which is Soopafly’s production company.

STRAIGHT OUT THE WOOD

A friend of mine has a t-shirt company in Inglewood and his new shirt design is “Inglewood by Nature”. Damani is from the wood, I am not, but I know what I’m doing so it only made sense to collaborate on this one.

SOME STUFF

I’m allowed to let loose of the Rita Ora photos that I did not too long ago, but I will still wait a couple more days because Rolling Stone will use them … yes! Anyway, the big artist that I shot, some people know about it already cause of checking my Facebook page. Somebody tagged me at a certain event, if you still don’t have a clue, you have to wait. But, the reason why are you here is to see stuff and not to wait all the time, so today I am giving you some graphic work I did the last couple of days.

The first piece is a flyer for Mac Lucci’s BMW Pre-Listening Party, the second one is the artwork to Treacherous Records ‘The Mint Room’ Compilation featuring the likes of Crooked I, Fashawn, Schoolboy Q, Ca$his, Jay Rock and more. And the last piece is the EP cover artwork and tray card to K-Young’s coming project ‘Free Will’.
